Websites
I am a web-developer, rather than a web-designer, so I don't really work on the aesthetics of websites in most cases. I tend to use free web design templates from around the Internet where possible.
Nonetheless, I work hard to make functional and practical websites, and I try to build them carefully using PHP so that they are very easy to extend and modify. Here are some examples:
Web Development
Examples of my web development skills.
-
Scottish Video Games Archive website
I built this website based on a free web template (called "Colourise") for the Scottish Video Games Archive. It includes an extensive database back-end which also acts as the archive's catalogue. -
SLOODLE Browser website
I constructed this site based on a free web template (called "HyperGlass") for a research project by my second supervisor, Malcolm Crowe. -
quizHUD website
I constructed this site based on a free web template (called "Radiance") for a project I was doing as a Research Assistant and for my PhD. -
Grace Church - Scotland website
I setup this site using Mambo for my old church, and made some custom modifications, including programming a podcast directory.
Web Design / Development
Examples of my skills combining design and development.
-
Hopehall Evangelical Church
My church was in need of a new website, so I designed and developed this site from scratch to meet its needs. -
virtuALBA
I designed and developed this website from scratch while working as a developer for the University of Paisley. It was part of a project to establish the University's presence in Second Life ®.
